Let’s just take a moment to be in awe of this masterpiece....
This luxury stroller has been on my radar since my sister was pregnant with her first child nearly 9 years ago. I remember I went shopping with our mother and saw this and said I will one day have this stroller!!!! That “one day” finally came & it was the first thing I mentioned when I found out we were pregnant!! Comical to done but I was so obsessed, lol. We call it the Ava mobile because as you can see it is clearly her version of the bat mobile!!!
Let’s get down to the facts:
Besides the obvious gorgeous aesthetics, the number 1 most amazing factor is how high the seat is able to sit allowing your baby to be so much closer to you. Whether you are using the carrycot (sold separately $249) like we are or the xplory seat your child is right there at arms reach, you literally do not have to bend down ever. They sit right up to the table, it is sooo convenient!! Once you have this feature all other strollers feel slightly awkward. It’s important to note that the seat & push handle can be adjusted so if your are on the shorter side you can definitely set both the seat & the push handle down to your desired height.
Next comes the mobility!! This stroller maneuvers seamlessly. It is so smooth & turns with ease. Funny story, but when the stroller first arrived, I think I was maybe 5 month pregnant, my girlfriend (who has 3 daughters out of strollers) couldn’t believe how easily she could push it with one hand while holding her glass of wine in the other. It is seriously that smooth & easy to push. We live in what’s referred to as a “town center” & it does amazing on the sidewalk, cobblestone, & Street.
The stroller does not come with a basket but with a shopping bag (pictured below) which for me is great but I know for some the basket is very important. I keep the shopping bag filled with things I may or may not need (mosquito net, fans, rain cover, blanket, always extra diapers & wipes). Even filled I still have room for things. I also have stroller hooks that I can hang bags off of if need be! For me it is perfect.
Some additional features are the large hood w zip on visor, the ability for the child to face you or face out, it comes with one cup holder, and is available in many colors/styles!!
It is large with a large fold, if you have a small trunk and this is your only stroller I have to say I wouldn’t recommend it but that is the one and ONLY con & only reason I would say no!!

Everyday Ava receives questions about her hair care & what I use for her curls and length. It is definitely a learning curve, but as of now we stick to a pretty solid routine that seems to work for us. I wash her hair with Young Living Essential Oils Seedlings body & hair wash 2-3 times a week & on the other days I solely use water. I would wash her hair with soap even less however Ava has reflux so her hair gets spit up on it often leaving me to wash it a little more than desired. After her bath I use Jojoba Oil on her hair & scalp. I use one squirt, about a nickel size amount & massage it into her hair & scalp. Previously I have used Skinny Coconut Oil as well as Olive Oil but it is a little heavy for Ava’s texture & leaves it greasy, we may switch back to it in the future. These are the current products we use:
As with anything, understanding your child’s hair & the way it responds to treatments is a learning experience. In saying that, my personal recommendation is to wash it with soap as minimal as possible & find the best natural organic oil that works.
Please comment any further questions!!
Like every new parent and parent in general sleep is always at the top of our minds. We wonder if our baby will sleep and we are constantly asked by any and everyone how we are sleeping.
I seem to have lucked out in the sleep department!! Ava has slept no less than 9 uninterrupted hours since 5 weeks of age!! I believe this is due to three factors:
1)her just being a good sleeper,
2)primemybody hemp oil that I take twice daily (rosieb.primemybody.com), and
3)the consistent nightly routine that we stick to everyday.
Routine is extremely important for your baby. In raising Ava I vowed to myself to stay consistent & scheduled in order to help her thrive. Her nightly routine is very simple & straightforward. It is: bath, massage, feed, sleep. We begin this routine every night around 9:30 She typically takes a 20-30 minute bath where she kicks around & plays in the water. She really tires herself out kicking & splashing the way she does.
After her bath I use eucerin baby eczema cream on her face & jojoba oil massaged into her scalp & hair. She then receives a full body massage where I use young living essential oils mixed with jojoba all over her entire body especially on the bottoms of her feet & her belly. Essential oils absorb best through her feet and the tummygize digestive oil I use on her belly helps ease her little gassy tummy. I use a variety of oils, but primarily select from the following: gentle baby, sleepyize, tummygize, peace & calming, & sniffleease (if she has the sniffles). It is important to note that I use young living kidscents which are specifically blended to be used on infants when combined with a carrier oil like jojoba (children over 2 years of age do not need the carrier oil).
I’m telling you this oil massage is everything, she smiles & coos & becomes so relaxed; as a parent it is incredible to see the joy & comfort in your child’s eyes!! After her massage I put on a footie pajama and wrap her tightly in her halo swaddle. My husband & I refer to her as our little burrito!
Then it’s time to eat. I typically wake Ava up if she falls asleep while eating once or twice to make sure she really fills her belly before bed!! Then voila Ava goes into her snuggleme organic and sleeps for at least 9 hours!! Ava uses her bibs pacifier and her sleep sheep probably 4 out of 7 nights.
She did an amazing job and was able to work with me to bring my vision into reality!!! My vision for her newborn shots was to be a baby in flowers, basically the style of Anne Geddes. Im not sure about you but I grew up with the Anne Geddes calendars, notebooks, and planners; every image more adorable then the next. I never would have been able to get these shots myself unless I spent a fortune getting props and taking an intense photoshop class!!!! If you are questioning getting the photos maybe don't force yourself to do newborn but try to get some within the first month! It is insane how little time they spend at that tiny newborn stage!! This next shot is my pride and joy, my vision to the T and I am so grateful she was able to make it happen!!
Ava’s spaceship aka her swing has been amazing for us. There were a lot of mixed reviews when I registered for this product & I was worried, “would my baby like this?” “is it going to be a waste?” “Should I select a more traditional swing?”, but I am sooo glad that I went with it!! Ava loves her Mamaroo swing by 4 Moms. The versatility of the seat allows your baby to lay fully back or sit completely upright. This swing has 5 different motions each with 5 different speeds, “car ride” being Ava’s favorite! This swing also connects to your phone which is great for controlling the speed, motion, & the sound machine that is in the base. It is also very simple to put together, I was able to do it without any help from my husband!! I do recommend getting the newborn insert for extra cushion and support. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this swing. Ava spends time in it daily & I am so glad that this is the swing we chose!!
